The President of CUSBA, Mark High and the Board of Directors invites members and non-members of CUSBA-Canada U.S. Business Association to our “2013 Spring Reception”  to be held at “The Canadian Club Heritage Brand Centre” – home to Canada’s famous “Canadian Club” whiskey and the Hiram Walker & Sons Ltd. Distillery.

The reception will feature an opportunity to network in the gardens along the Detroit River as well as a tour inside the turn-of-the-century Italian architecture building with its own art gallery featuring works from Canada’s Group of Seven.

The event venue was completed in 1894, it was designed by Mason & Rice of Detroit, in the Renaissance style. The elegant exterior features terra cotta ornament and bronze gates and lanterns. The interior boasts mahogany paneling, ornate woodwork and imported marble. 2013 marks the 155th year for the Canadian Club Brand, you’ll go back in history to the height of the Hiram Walker family’s success and his personal friendships with the biggest names in history – Henry Ford and Thomas Edison and many cross-border shoppers during the U.S. Prohibition 1920 to 1933. Return to the “Roaring Twenties” the era of “The Great Gatsby” and a period in North America known for unprecedented economic prosperity, the evolution of jazz music, flapper culture, art deco, automobiles, telephones, motion pictures, electricity, industrial growth, accelerated consumer demand, bootlegging, construction boom and other cultural and societal developments of the 1920′s .
